How can I assemble my Martha Stewart from Kmart prelit Christmas tree? I bought a 7-foot prelit Christmas tree - Martha Stewart from Kmart last year. My daughter assembled it in 10 minutes and it was beautiful all season! We took it out of the box and tried to assemble it yesterday and the branches won't stand up. It seems as if they need to hook or click into something but we can't figure out what. Of course, there were no instructions, only a simple diagram on the box. Does anyone else have one of these trees and know what to do with it?

I applied to Kmart recently and they automatically scheduled an interview for me, should I call to confirm? I just applied to Kmart and to my surprise, they automatically schedule an interview towards the end of the application. The scheduled interview is in 3 days, should I call them to confirm?

What kind of positions can you apply for at kmart if your underage besides cashier? I wanted to apply at kmart. But i'm not sure what to apply for. Is there anything else I can do besides cashier? BTW it has to part time because my state wont let me work full time :(

carly js replied: "stocking things, shelving things, floor buffing, cleaning there are a million things to do in a kmart store, you'd be suprised bag boy/girl (probably also pulls in the carts from outside and does stuff with them inside)"

Kmart scheduled an interview at the end of my application? I just applied to Kmart because I will be turning 16 on November 19th. At the end of completing the application, they asked me to schedule an interview date. Isn't that a little weird that nobody even reviewed my application and they want an interview? The interview is scheduled for November 25th. Should I call and confirm beforehand? I completed the application online.

HOPEFULLY YOU PUT IN ALL THE INFORMATION LIKE WORKING AROUND YOUR SCHEDULE AND THINGS BECAUSE THEY WILL ASK YOU THAT IN YOUR INTERVEIW. THERE WILL BE ALOT OF " TELL A TIME WHEN.....?" QUESTIONS SO BE PREPARE. O YEAH THE INTERVIEW IS REAL, AND THEY WILL SEND YOU A CONFIRMATION IN AN EMAIL AND THEY MAY ALSO CALL YOU A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE, SO LOOK OUT FOR THAT. GOOD LUCK...MY ORIENTATION IS ON THIS FRIDAY FOR 5PM TO 9PM.."

Yama :D replied: "I've done the same thing just 2 weeks ago (applied online and scheduled for the interview). Just go to the service desk once you arrive to your applied K-Mart area and say that you're there for an interview. They'll talk through about your application with you on the day of your interview. But of course, they actually scan through it themselves beforehand as well. My interview was the next day after I applied online. I was really surprised. Today was my first day of work, actually. It's all legit. They just really need people at the moment, hence the immediate interview scheduler. Good luck. =)"

I have an interview at Kmart do you need experience to work their? I applied for the loss prevention associate job opening. I wanted to know if you need experience in order to get hired. I have no experience but a Security guard license and completed training course. Will i need experience to get the loss prevention job at Kmart?

Scott K replied: "As with every position, your employability depends on whom you are up against and what job you are applying for. In your case, I would think that KMart would be looking for a little more than some rube off the street, but I would think that your training and license that you should be pretty well qualified. But who knows who else is applying."

harisdanielle replied: "I used to work for kmart and I can tell you first hand that NO you do not need experience to work there. They actually prefer to hire new workers without experience because they can train them easier on their store policies. They look for someone who is responsible, committed to their job, and a hard worker. If you have those qualities and are eager to learn you definitely have a shot at getting hired! Good luck."

deskwalker@sbcglobal.net replied: "No. But I can think of a lot Higher class jobs that hire For loss prevention than K-mart. Start at the top of the food chain and then work down to K-mart. Cause if you start at K-mart you will be locking yourself in to a k-mart type of store. Besides the Stores that serve a richer clientele have better clothes and better discounts for employees on those cloths."

honesthonesty replied: "Basically, the LP associate simply walks around the store and performs a variety of merchandise audits on paper. No license is necessary - Sears will not give you training so you can carry a gun or arrest an obvious shoplifter. My understanding is that, if hired, you will be sent to another store to work under a current LP associate and after you make three "recoveries" (identify three situations of shoplifting or vendor fraud) that you will then be transferred to your own store to perform those same functions without any oversight. Ultimately, though, you will be doing a lot of paperwork and have extremely limited authority when it comes to apprehending criminals. If additional thoughts, visit and register at and discuss the LP position with current Kmart/Sears employees. It's a very helpful site."

What is the model number for the Samsung DVD Camcorder for Kmart's black Friday sale? I was hoping to look it up, review it - see if it would work for my very basic - "take the 2nd B-day video" of my child needs. How often and how much does kmart pay? Hey well yeah i just got an interview with kmart today, and my interview is in a few weeks. I just wanted to know how much do they pay an hour. I'm 17 and have cashier experience so im hoping that's what they start me off as. Also do they pay every week or every other week. Working as a part time employee how much can i expect to get a payed a week?
