English words to korean symbols (or writing)? Forgive me if the title sounds offensive but i just wanted to know if anyone knows the words "Mind, Body, and Spirit" in korean writing. Thinking of getting it as a tattoo, forgive me again if it sounds cheesy but those words have been somewhat as a guide for me in a way and yeah..

Professional Peon replied: "Honestly I would ask someone you trust so you don't end up with something like "Coffee, Donuts, and a pickle" or some such nonsence, cause yeah I've seen it happen."

Dragon Faerie replied: "Agreed with the above, if you're getting it on a tattoo you might want to make sure you have it absolutely right."

Manny replied: "Mind = 생각 Body = 몸 Spirit (soul in Korean) = 영혼 The symbol is almost the same as the Thai Shi (the two drops in a circle)."

Just another day. replied: ""마음, 몸, 영혼" (MaEum, Mom, YeongHon) or "정신, 육체, 영혼" (JeongSin, YukChe, YeongHon) They mean all the same.. Good luck with a getting Korean tattoo..:)"

McClain G replied: "I use the following links:+&um=1&ie=UTF-8 and I like the second one a lot because you can type in a word and it will display several uses of the word in kanji and english Good luck on your quest"

noboruryu replied: "The website that you want will depend on the actual language that you want. First off... Kanji is Japanese, not Korean.... Second... Please make sure that you get the meaning from someone that can read the language before hand, that way, you know the actual meaning before you get it permanently to your body. Read the article below for more information:"

Caleb G. replied: "dont look up writing on the internet, cause usually it means the wrong thing. if you want something in korean writing go to a artist who knows korean writing, cause he will know what he is talking about."

How to you write these names using Korean symbols? I think the writing system is called Hangul, right? 1-Beulah 2-Madeline 3-Lauren

lovename2000 replied: "베울라. 마델린 or 마델라인 라우렌"

Seriously replied: "yes hangul, korean writing also uses chinese characters. phoentically the guy is pretty close. happy to see a american girl learning to write a asian language!"

celticagent replied: "1. can't 2. 매들린 3. 로렌"

mashimaro replied: "Don't know why the poster above me says that Beulah can't be written in hangeul or why the first poster has 2 thumbs down -- his spellings are bang-on how I would have written them. The reason why he's put two different ways to spell Madeline is because it would depend on how you are pronouncing the name - the first way is if you are pronouncing it with a short "i" (more like Madelyn) and the second way is if you are pronouncing the "line" with a long "i" like the word, well, line. Definitely use those 3 spellings from the first poster."

how do you know what each symbol means when writing in korean? when writing in korean there are some rules to follow. can anybody tell what the grammer or spelling rules are when writing in hangeul. and what each symbol means when in the start middle or end of a word. i can read it alittle but want to romanize

bryan_q replied: "What symbols? Korean uses an alphabet called Hangul. The sounds change from hard to soft in the middle of a word: K sound would become G sound, etc..."

nabinabi replied: "it seems that you've learned hangul and can read so it shouldn't be that hard to write as well. reading and writing in korean language is quite simple (speaking is another thing), can you tell the vowels and consonants apart? e.g, if you want to write " 공 gong (a ball)" think of "g"sound which is "ㄱ" then "o"sound which is "ㅗ"(vowel) then "ng" sound which is "ㅇ" (in korean, you can write consonants under the vowel as you might know already ) : so you can add ㄱ+ ㅗ +ㅇ = 공 so, when you want to romanize, think of the word you want to write, e.g. "물(water)" : "ㅁ" is "m" sound , "ㅜ" is "u", "ㄹ" is r/l (since there's noe difference in korean in writing). so you can write it as " mul" which means "water" but it's quite hard to romanize korean. and i'm not quite sure what you mean by the symbols in the middle or the end of a word, though hope my answer helps"

nightfallsid replied: "left or right hand paper pencil marker pen paint etc."

trojan replied: ""캘시" They'll pronounce it "Kehr-shi". This will be most common. Or you can say "캐어시" which is pronounced "keh-uh-shi", but this will be less common.
